A work visa, also known as a work permit, is a legal document that allows foreign nationals to work in a specific country for a designated period of time. Work visas are issued by the immigration authorities of the host country and are subject to various regulations and eligibility criteria.

Canada Work Visa

The Temporary Resident Visa is a legal document which authorizes the holder to work in Canada. Most temporary workers need this particular type of visa, and there are some exceptions for certain types such as workers who come under specific conditions or world traders with authorization from their home government. There are two different types of work permits:

  • Open Work Permit
  • Employer-Specific Work Permit

Open Work Permit: With an open work permit, you can legally freelance across Canada and not have to worry about being denied because of what Employer or where they are located. This means that if an employer has failed compliance with employment standards then there is no chance for them as long as your VA act responsibly!

You may be eligible for an open work permit if you find yourself in one of the following situations, and your skills match up with what Canada needs most right now!

I’m sure we can help make things easier on both sides by providing this valuable service that allows people from around world come visit our beautiful country:

  • Permanent residence applicants who have applied to an office in Canada,
  • Dependent family members of some permanent residence applicants,
  • Spouses and common-law partners of some workers and international students,
  • Refugees, refugee claimants, protected persons and their family members,
  • Some temporary resident permit holders, or
  • Some young workers participate in special programs.

In each of these situations, you must meet additional criteria to be eligible.

Employer-Specific Work Permit: Employer-specific work permits are a great way to ensure that you will only have one employer throughout your entire stay in Canada. The benefit of this type of permit is not just limited for employers, but also includes employees as they can use it when applying for jobs with different companies and still be guaranteed employment rights under law!

A closed work permit usually requires an offer from either Canadian citizen/permanent resident which proves there isn’t anyone available who meets the qualifications necessary at the time being.

Eligibility: Some of the general eligibility criteria for a work permit are that you have to be able-bodied and available in Canada. There are also other specific conditions depending on where your application will come from, so make sure these things match before applying!

General Requirements

  • The country you plan on returning to after your work permit expires must be able to provide evidence that they will accept you for the length of time it’s valid.
  • Employers who do not comply with the employment standards are disqualified from working at our company. We also refuse business to companies that engage in sex trade such as strip clubs, escort services or erotic massage parlors.
  • You can’t be safe if you don’t do something about it! Get your security and background check done, then submit the police clearance certificate..
  • It’s important for your safety and well-being that you get a medical exam, so don’t wait!.
  • It’s important to have enough funds required for your entire stay in Canada. It can be difficult if you don’t, and there may come a time where the money runs out just as things are getting interesting!

If Applying from Outside Canada: The work permit is a necessary step in order to continue working outside of Canada. You will have the option of applying through your visa office or getting it done at an express center abroad, but be sure you follow their guidelines carefully so as not to make any mistakes on these documents! If possible get clearance from both police AND the consulate beforehand because there are certain formalities which cannot begin until these steps have been taken first.
